I got to test drive a Tesla and really liked it! I do have a problem, though, with the CEO.

It is a quandary

I think you have to separate the two Paul. However you feel about the CEO, there are tens of thousands of employees building their amazing cars, all focused on the mission of converting the world to sustainable transportation. Their in-car operating system is by far the most superior on the market, and to choose a different EV will inevitably lead to a sub-par user experience I think. Their integration of software and hardware is unmatched. If your concern is what others will think of you, that's something you have to reckon with, but most people just don't care. Feel free to send me a DM if you'd like to discuss ownership, or the quandary! With prices where they are now it's the perfect time to be thinking of getting a Tesla.

I bought a used Chevy Bolt. It was very inexpensive and I have enjoyed it for 6 months. Even did a long road trip. Although not as convenient (charging stations and speed of charging), I think it was a good choice for me at this time. In a few years I will upgrade

Awesome! We couldn't afford a Tesla and did a road trip a little over a year ago in our used Bolt, from Oakland, CA to Albuquerque and back: https://flowerchild.substack.com/p/ev-road-trips-doable-but-can-improve. It definitely would have been easier in a Tesla! Our nation's charging infrastructure needs a major upgrade.

Interesting that the EV commercials show them doing donuts in the parking lot. Age and gender of test driver portrayed is interesting . Just interesting that marketers see EVs as muscle cars to smoke tires

This post was GREAT! I drive a 10 year old Prius and want to switch to an EV. New cars crazy expensive. But you are an inspiration!
